Frequently asked questions

Who started the #PSWeLoveYou campaign and why?

The #PSWeLoveYou campaign is the first public advocacy campaign from Amplify Impact, a marketing and communications agency founded by Melissa Duclos with the goal of amplifying the voices of individuals, organizations, and businesses working to advance equity and justice. The campaign is all-volunteer effort by a group of media professionals who wanted to use our professional skills in support of transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and other genderqueer children who rely on gender-affirming care.

Together our team has experience across advocacy campaign strategy and execution, community engagement and storytelling with impacted communities, writing, editing, publishing, podcast journalism and production, social media strategy and content creation, graphic design, public relations, and K12 education.

We are leveraging our skills and networks to educate people on the facts of gender-affirming care, amplify stories of the impact of this care on children and adults, and raise awareness of the federal rule change process and the importance of logging AS MANY COMMENTS AS POSSIBLE as a means of resistance to these fascist and lethal health care policy decisions.

Aren't there other organizations already advocating around this issue?

Yes, there are! State and National 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy organizations including PFLAG, the Human Rights Campaign, and Basic Rights Oregon are calling on their networks to log comments opposing these two federal rule changes.

The #PSWeLoveYou campaign stands in solidarity with these and other organizations fighting against these radical and dangerous policies and we encourage you to log your comment via whatever form or mechanism is easiest for you.

We are encouraging people to go directly to the federal register so that their comment is reviewed individually and published online as part of the searchable record, with a #PSWeLoveYou message directly to impacted kids. Our team will be pulling these messages of support from the searchable federal register and publishing them online.

Could I see hateful comments when I go to submit?

No, you will not.

The forms you will navigate to submit comments are on a different tab than the published comments. Additionally, comments are displayed only by their agency ID number. To read specific comments you would need to open each one individually. Finally, the Department of Health & Human Services should filter any threatening comments before publishing.

Can I leave a comment without a #PSWeLoveYou note?

Even without a #PSWeLoveYou note, your comment in opposition to this rule change will help us achieve our goal of demonstrating such overwhelming opposition to this rule change that we can't be ignored.

By leaving a #PSWeLoveYou note, you'll add your voice to a campaign of community love for those who will be most impacted if this rule change is allowed to go through.

Can I submit my comment anonymously?

Yes, the Regulations.gov comment form allows you to submit your comment anonymously.
